GKN Automotive helps over 700 school children receive new shoes.
GKN Automotive India’s team worked with local agencies to identify over 1000 school children at schools in the underprivileged areas of Faridabad. A lot of the children who are studying in these schools are in need of school uniform.
The team liaised with members of staff from the local schools, to take note of the shoe size of the children there who were without shoes.
Following a fantastic effort from the local schools and GKN Automotive India staff, an event was organised where over 700 school children received new shoes and a delicious lunch.
The event ran fantastically, producing smiles from the children and a sense of achievement from the schools and GKN Automotive people. The project team has since organised a second event where the remaining 300 school children will receive their shoes.
